Ok, this just in... I've got some really cool news for those of you that will be going on the Friday driving tour with us. We'll be stopping at Kevin Westmoreland’s Performance Restorations in Cleveland, Ga. (you may have seen some of his work in RM Auctions Dingman Collection auction). In addition to his shop tour, Kevin has offered to take us over to see Larry Bailey’s automobile collection. This is something you won't want to miss so, if you've been thinking about joining us, now is the time to let me know. PM me or email me at [email protected] and provide your contact cell phone #, I'll send my cell # to you so we can coordinate.

From the looks of it, we're going to have a big turnout for the Mountain "Barner's Bash" Tour next Friday, October 26th. We've got some excellent stops planned and it should be a fun day of cruising & schmoozing. We’re looking forward to seeing everybody, both old and new friends & Flathead Ford Fanatics.

If you haven’t decided yet about joining us, we’ll be meeting at the Old Sautee Store in Sautee, Georgia at 8:00am on Friday. We’ll depart at 8:30am. For directions and/or more information about the Tour, you can email me at: [email protected] . Please provide a contact phone number if you want to join us.

See you in Sautee!

Can't make it this year Vic, but I'll be burning up the roads and kicking up the dust to get there next year!!

Note: dates shown above on this picture were for the 2011 Moonshine Festival. I hope no one inadvertently confuses these dates with the 2012 dates.

John, that's too bad, I'm sorry to hear that you won't be able to make it and I'm sure I'm not alone. Set your sights on the 2013 Florida "Barner's Bash"! We'll start making plans for it as soon as I get back from the Moonshine Festival. Vic

The Mountian Bash and Moonshine Festival is on my bucket list. You guys have an excellent time. I hope to make it there next year. My sights are set on the next Florida bash.

I would like to suggest a "Grand Mountain Bash" about this time next year. We would start at Skyline Drive. Do that and the Blue Ridge Parkway to the beginning of the Great Smokey Mountains, and then on to Dawsonville, GA for the MS Festival and a tour with the Cigar City Flathead group through the mountains of Georgia. I had a great time making that run in 2011 and would like to make the same trip in 2013. Anyone else interested in doing that with me?
Whoops...just realized this may conflict with Phil's northeastern PA tour for 2013 and I would like to do his tour....so....we would maybe need to rethink these tour dates a bit.

Chuck, sorry to hear that you can't make it to the Moonshine Festival. We'll be working out the details of the 2013 Florida "Barner's Bash" after we get back home from Georgia.

John, that sounds like a plan. Hopefully you'll get a group to make the trek with you. Let me know if I can do anything to help.

Vic

Well, this is it! I've got the '39 CS packed and ready to go and I'm planning on leaving my house at 6:00am tomorrow to make the 550+ mile trip up to Sautee, Georgia. Steve & Mike will be driving up on Thursday in Steve's '46 Coupe and we'll meet up with a bunch of Barner's at the Old Sautee Store on Friday morning. I'm looking forward to the trip and hope I make it without incident...

Ok, I drove the '39 CS up to my mom's in Sautee yesterday. The car ran very well, burned no oil, but she does like to stop at gas stations... I talked with Mike & Steve this morning and they are well on their way up in Steve's '46 Coupe. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the Old Sautee Store tomorrow at 8:00am for our tour and on Saturday at the Moonshine Festival. Vic
