Sticky throtttle shaft
Need some ideas. After sitting for a few months the carb throttle shaft on the '40 was stuck. I believe it was one that Charlie rebuilt, so we know it's good. Any ideas on how to keep loosened up. Thank you Fordbarners.

Re: Sticky throtttle shaft
Fair chance it is the throttle plate stuck in the bore, rather than the shaft itself. Shoot some WD40 down the bores and on both external shaft ends. If the carb is a 97, shoot a little of that WD40 into the accelerator pump on top of the carb.

Re: Sticky throtttle shaft
Ingot it loose, and it does not like the throttle plates as it was sticky all the way to wide open. Any recommended preventative measures ? Thank you Fordbarners.
