My 41 woodie just arrived complete from California. I sent it out there May 2017 to get complete new wood. A few shots of the highly figured fiddleback maple panels on my 41 Ford woodie. Didn't cost much extra to get really pretty veneer. Ron Heiden vacuum clamped and glued the veneer to plywood. The car originally came with gumwood(not available any more) or mahogany panels. Many owners with replaced panels use sapelle veneer that look like figured mahogany. Only cost +$475 for the spectacular veneer. Ron Heiden of Vista,CA did some beautiful wood work making the complete set of wood. Everett Bros of Fallbrook,CA did a very nice paint job.

Great job, Tex, Ron does fantastic work. I used the fiddleback sapelle on my '46 and the grain is similar to yours. When I park my Woodie in the sun on a hot summer day and I get in, I get hit with the smell of wood, rubber floor mats, leather seats and varnish. Only with a Woodie do you get that. Enjoy the heck out of your car!!!!

You are very lucky Mr texas with the results of your wood transformation. I had a buddy send a 51 woody out to LA from Texas for a full wood job . Unfortunately he did not go to LA to see the work in progress, he relied on other work the company had done. He returned from vacation to see his beloved woody back in Texas and was almost in tears at the rubbish work they had done. ill fitting, poorly glued , wobbly , apauling job.

There is a crook in the business named Chris Mark in Orange County. Buyer beware of him. He often changes the name of his business. He advertises on ebay.

my4dv8, Most Woodie people probably know the company you are referring to. It's important to do your homework. As to Woodie restoration, always use the Woodie Times as a guide. Ron Heiden, Wood N Carr, Rick Mack and The Klein Family Workshop can always be counted on to do quality work.
