What issue of Street Rodder was Flathead Pt 2 in ?
Also do you know what issue Flathead Pt 1 was in ?
Someone said that there was a nice article about a 36 ford restoration in Hemmings. My November and December issues did not have it. What issue of Hemmings if any one knows ?

The 36 Ford article was in the most recent issue of Hemmings Classic Car.

I'm guessing here, but Part 2 is Feb 2016? These mags are normally a couple of months ahead of reality.

This blurb has no information that hasn't been thrashed a thousand times before.

Looks like a commercial for "H&H".

Everything in the car magazines is that way these days, the articles are to promote their advertisers.

If anyone wants that issue of Hemming's Classic Car with the '36 resto in it, I'd gladly mail it to you for the cost of postage. I subscribe to this magazine. Please understand, as much as I love HCC, it is like the USA Today of car magazines. No article is over 3 pages and usually more pictures than content.

The '36 resto is a good read, but if you are looking for hard to find info on restoring a '36, keep looking. I do enjoy the magazine, but one can get through it in a 2 hour sitting.

PM if you'd like it.

This is a great build and the dyno results are with in reason. The only thing wrong with this build was the lack of information on the little things that cost very little, but make a big results on the finished product:IE. Valve spring pressure for a street build, piston clearance, etc. The last thing is the ignition adv for WOT. 26-28 degs should blow the bottom end out. I'm running 20 degs on the stock 280 and I get a slight ping at WOT on 87 gas. Probably the worst thing is running the 3 carbs on straight linkage for street. This washes the cylinder wall with gas every time you hit he 3 accelerator pumps. Think Street, go progressive.
