36 rear brake drum puller
I’ve had a puller for the rear drums for a 36 several years, never used it. I tried to use it on my 37 yesterday but it’s just a little too small. Is the 36 puller a one year only tool? Thanks!

A photo would help. This is what I have for my '39 p/u. Works for '28 to '48

Re: 36 rear brake drum puller
With my Vintage Precision puller I had to clean up some of the rough spots on the hub casting in order to get it to fit. Maybe it’s the same with yours?

Re: 36 rear brake drum puller
I my opinion, the best pullers to use on '28 - '48 Ford hub/drum assemblies are the original KRW puller, the Winfield Tool Company reproduction of the original KRW, or now the Vintage Precision version of the KRW/Winfield Tool Works pullers.

Perhaps ask your car club members for help?

Re: 36 rear brake drum puller
Thanks Ken, I was able to get the drums off without the puller. Now I wonder if it will actually fit on the 36, which is what I originally bought it for, and now learn it’s supposed to work on 28-48 models.
