'30 Deluxe Roadster floor covering
My '30 Deluxe Roadster came with a new rubber floor mat, but I noticed the parts dealers offer carpet for that model also. Which is correct? Should there be some type of underlayment between the mat/carpet and the floor?

Re: '30 Deluxe Roadster floor covering
Carpet is correct for the 30-31 Deluxe Roadster.
There is no underlayment between the carpet and floorboards. Chris W. |

Re: '30 Deluxe Roadster floor covering
Keep the rubber mat underneath the new carpet you order and install. It will help quiet road noise beneath your feet and act as a (semi-) buffer against heat emanating from the muffler. Your passenger - and your feet - will thank you. Using the two floorboard coverings helped make life more bearable in my late 1931 DeLuxe Roadster.
