Default Shocks

I Just found some shock cores for my 28 Tudor. Two are HE and two are Houdaille. whats the difference? I'm sending them to Mr. Robert Paul to have rebuilt. Thanks

Jim, there is an article published in the Model A News(MARC) november-December 2007 titled
Model A Ford Shock Absorbers by Rob Mills
That attemps to cover the nine changes to the needle Valve, and Packing nut, the 6 changes made to the cover, and 3 major changes to the base, plus there were
4 manufacturers:
1) Houdaille,
2)National Acme Manf,
3)Ford Motor Co.,
4)Spicer
The Houdaille company, alternately had HE Co on the covers. So your cores are all houdaille. Difficult to exactly match all 4 cores.
