Default aftermarket rear suspension bolt on

has anyone ever seen a bolt on rear suspension upgrade for the model t? anyone have some pictures or know details on this part? i was offered a full rear end and it had these unusual spring stabilizers or what not and i was curious how common they were. they guy who has them said that they were pretty rare and i was just looking to learn more about them.

sorry for the vague description and thanks for any help!

i did manage to find one but this is on the front axle and i dont remember it being a single coiled spring

These are "Hassler" shock absorbers. They were a fairly common aftermarket item for the model T. They actually work as well! They come in single spring or double spring units. It is unwise to use the single spring assemblies on closed cars - it seems they can cause the car to roll over -- Ralph Nader was in diapers then so he could not point that out.
They are still around & used to come up often in the Fordbarn classifieds when there were a lot of T guys using it. Check "Hassler Shock Absorbers" under Google & you will find the sales catalog & the parts book. Value varies greatly on condition - they have a number of areas that wear badly.
