28 Early open cab pickup top install
Is this the correct way to put the brackets on and the flap that snaps to the windshield? Last edited by mrtexas; 06-21-2013 at 11:54 AM. |

Re: Open cab pickup top install
there is a separate piece of topping material that goes between the w/s frame (snaps) and the front bar of the top irons. LeBaron Bonney has a video on its website .. the video is of a 31 roadster but the idea is similar ... remember, the original OPU top did not retract.

Meaning the OPU didn't have snaps on the windshield? Last edited by mrtexas; 06-21-2013 at 11:54 AM. |

Starting at about 22 sec into the video, he is installing the flap (w snaps) that I am referring to .. I believe you have yours in the bottom pix in your initial posting. all you need to do with that is tack it to the wood insert in the front of the front iron.. the actual top material will then lay over it and tack through it to the same wood insert Last edited by Charles Reese; 06-21-2013 at 12:07 PM. |
