Default piston/rod info Q...

Anyone have information relative to how much minimum clearance(thousands) lateral/side to side movement should have between small rod end and piston.

I know that Fords stock setup had plenty of space provided for small end to move laterally to allow for engine variables, i.e.-rod alignment; crank pin center, whatever. But, I'm trying to fit some custom pistons with rods and need help with minimal safe lateral measurements.

After you align your Rods for twist, Bend, and off set, the clearance should be equal, distance on both sides as long as your crank is set in the right place.

The clearance on either side should NOT be less then .040, or over .053.
