I don't think in the grand scheme of things a week is so bad.
You're not working on a 2010 Chevy.
Some of the little business guys that support this hobby get overwhelmed or just might not be very organized.
I think and hope with a little more patience your parts will arrive.

A suggestion. Why don't you contact Ross directly and ask them what the status is on the type of piston you're looking for. It took them almost three weeks to manufacture and ship the custom pistons for my Hemi. Unless you ordered one of the "off the shelf" flathead pistons on the attached list you are probably looking at a 3 week turn around. http://www.rosspistons.com/products/...&vehicle_id=47

The term is "dropped shipping" It is when a person sales items but doesn't keep them in stock. They then send the order on to the manufacturer or wholesaler who ships direct to the original purchaser. The place that actually did the shipping would have to provide the tracking number, it is possible that the seller is not able to get the tracking number easily.

Summit is a huge stocking distributor - one of the biggest in the United States. Lots of smaller operations don't stock anything - everything is dropped shipped from the Manufacturer. He should be able to give you an order number - and you can then call Ross and check on order status. Hopefully he actually HAS an order number.
