32-35 Front Brake Drums
This info is for a friend with no computer. Are 32 Ford through 35 brake drums
the same Rocky Mountain drum? Peter |

Re: 32-35 Front Brake Drums
Peter,
'32-'34 drums are the same while those for '35 are unique to that model year. Where the "Rocky Mountain" tag comes from, I guess, is that all of the '32-'34 front drums and some '35 drums are partially open in their construction leading some to conclude that they are vented. However, when the wheels are installed those openings in the drums are completely covered up by the wheel hubs thereby negating any 'venting'. In other words, "Rocky Mountain" is a misnomer carried over from Model T days when used to describe those drums. Last edited by DavidG; 10-15-2017 at 09:04 AM. |

Re: 32-35 Front Brake Drums
Dave,
Thanks for that enlightenment. There's a car club friend that has a deuce cabriolet and said someone told him 32-35 front drums are the same so told him I'd check it out for him. Hope you're doing better health wise. Peter |
