I think that Model As are rarely stolen isn’t because of value, it’s that the numb nuts who steal cars don’t know how to drive a clutch car, and even if they did, they don’t know how to start a Model A.

Many many good reason for having used VT in the past. Unfortunately, some only think its to circumvent taxes or such. Not always the case.
each situation is unique.

BTW Gene, have never heard of people from a state cry so much about titling as OH. Everyone there moans and moans..........
Not if the executor of the estate is willing to help.

sure Gene, when does that ever happen in real life? lol

I have had guy after guy buy a car, title cant be found, but they are promised they will get one. A yr goes by and nada. always the same story. Once the seller has their $, they dont give a dam.

and that is why I sell titles. Plain and simple.

Pa. is a title sate. Many years ago I sold a pickup at Carlisle to a guy from N.H. He didn't want the title. I made him go to the on sight notary and explained the story. I had her fill out the title as if he was titling it, we signed it and I paid for the notary work. I had her make a note to the effect that I didn't own the truck anymore and notarize that. That way if he had an accident on the way home with an illegal license plate I had roof I didn't own it.
