Hi. i live in Norway and have problems with big playin in my steering gearbox in A-Ford 31 mod hot rod. im not sure if i have a 31 or 32 steering box. its stil in the car, but i have photo of the box. So if any one now some who rebuild or sel me a steearing box. I be happy for som help.

i dont see a head lite switch housing on the bottom of the steering box like the 29 thru 31 model a's so i believe its a 32 0r so

How many bolts hold it to the frame? Model A's have 2, 32's have 3, with one at the top, 33/34 have 3 with one at the bottom.

I think there may be an adaptor plate between the box and the frame, hard to tell from the pictures.

There's a mysterious (to me) procedure for adjusting these boxes... I would seek the method of adjustment (and try it) before buying parts... Sorry to not be more helpful.

Thanks for answers , yes its a adaptor plate, and its tree bolts to the frame.To day i find a used 32 box on a Norwegian used sales site www.finn.no,hwo culd belive that! Just hope that its not used up when i got it.Thanks again
