6V electric Fuel Pump
I am having a "senior moment" so bear with me.
I want to install an electric fuel pump on my positive ground system. One wire is tan the other wire is black. Which one is ground and therefore goes to the power source?

Re: 6V electric Fuel Pump
My 6 volt Carter vane type (+ ground) has the polarity marked for proper flow direction. Does your pump have a model no. on it?

Re: 6V electric Fuel Pump
Pumps are polarized, wire it through a relay as the relay coil does not care, (ign coil) but the pump will/may care and wire it Common and Normal open. and the neutral leg on the common of the relay and will need a fuel filter, just trying to help.

Re: 6V electric Fuel Pump
I disconnected my pump, just another thing to worry about, if it breaks down, I still travel over 60mph with my 97 downdraft.
