Default 1935 Oil Pump-20 LB Oil Pressure Cold-5-10 Lb Hot

Just got a 35 running after sitting 20 some years-original 21 stud motor. Oil pressure Gauge shows 20 lb at start up and roughly 5-10 lb once hot. I'm going to pull the pan this week to inspect strainer and remove whatever sludge is in the pan. I've seen the prior postings telling me not to worry-that this stated oil pressure range is sufficient for safe use. I know high volume/"modern" pumps are advertised for sale/replacement but my motor does not have a modern rear seal and I would be worried that a real high volume pump could create new problems. I've also seen some postings saying the 35 has a strange pick up tube and could benefit from modification. Some suggest shimming a spring in the pump. Any advice appreciated since I only plan on taking the oil pan off once. Thanks in advance
