Need new fuel tank - 36 Cabriolet
My original fuel tank leaked all over the floor a few weeks ago - lucky we caught it in time. What is the best source for a new replacement fuel tank for my 1936 Ford Cabriolet convertible coupe with rumble seat? As I read somewhere on a past thread, some may not fit properly. Any ideas?
Thanks, Fritz |

Did you consider cleaning and sealing your existing tank? I have done this on some tanks that were really bad with good results.

Re: Need new fuel tank - 36 Cabriolet
Go with Tanks Inc., they have a variety, i.e, SS, Poly, stock steel. All are higher gallons also which is nice when cruising. I went with a stock configuration ( 16 gallons ) with captured nuts as stock for hardware. $215 shipped, fit great. Should have done it before I tried to clean up the old tank. Won't bore you with details but for what you spend on kit's to clean and seal and what a PIA getting it clean of debris before, just go new. I am very happy and wish I hadn't bothered with the old tank.
