Holiday Motor Excursion
The 65th Holiday Motor Excursion is coming up on Sunday, December 26th at the Arcadia Regional Park in Arcadia, CA.
The flyer says no trailer parking in the park but does anyone know where trailer parking will be allowed? |

Re: Holiday Motor Excursion
Gary, I cannot help you on the trailer parking but this event has always been on my bucket list. In years past I have always enjoyed your wonderful photo coverage. Please consider posting pix again of Model-A, ...and of other special marques too.

Re: Holiday Motor Excursion
Why not contact the SoCal HCCA directly and ask?
[email protected] I wish I could attend this year but it isn't going to happen. The SoCal HCCA's Holiday Motor Excursion is one of this hobby's most epic events. I attended religiously for about 10 years when I was young and lived out there, driving the car shown in my avatar. Every other year or so I try to fly out and attend. It is a really special day. Have fun and Happy Motoring. |

Re: Holiday Motor Excursion
We left early in the morning to get up to Pasadena for the Holiday Motor Excursion. The weather was clear and cold, perfect for touring in old cars. Here are some pictures of just some of the cars that attended. For anyone in and around Southern California, this should be a must attend. There were lots of Model A's and T's.

How far did y'all drive on the parade route, ...and did the electric car (in the photo above) make the entire route with one battery charge?? |

Re: Holiday Motor Excursion
This event is really two events in one. There is the tour that is limited to Stock, 1932 and earlier cars and then there are the "other" cars that come just to park and see the early cars leave on the tour. There are LOTS of impressive cars of all types in both groups!
Here is a nice YouTube that captures only a small amount of the "spirit" of this event. If you think the interest in early cars is dwindling, the Holiday Motor Excursion will certainly change your mind. What also impresses me about this event in the amount of younger people that attend as spectators, passengers and car owners. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-LoTlrHweg |

I live in Arcadia, but always have to work. Someday I'll be retired and then
I can live a little! |
