Re: overdrive
Gary Bernard in Fort Worth, TX sells the complete kit. He is the original person who designed and modified the kits for Model A's.

Re: overdrive
I don’t use one but do a search for f150 and there is a person Carlg that uses one that is made by a guy in calif. I maybe should have gone that route but went with a t5.

Re: overdrive
Like Davew, I chose the T-5, five speed. Gear ratios are much better than the F-150.

Re: overdrive
Here is Dave Delmue’s email. I have had his kit for 10 years in my Tudor. His kit uses an AA
bellhousing which is shorter and you do not have to modify the frame. [email protected] John |

Re: overdrive
Graeme McNeil of MACS Speed shop in New Zealand has been supplying kits to the USA for some time. I have one in my car, but it also requires a special clutch plate which he can supply. www.macsspeed.com

Re: overdrive
I am not sure I like the placement of the shifter 5/6 inches further back and the emergency brake moved further to the right takes up some leg room for passenger. Also no torque tube on mine.

Re: overdrive
Dave, that makes sense.
That is why i bought my f150 from dave delmue. His kit includes the trans, cut t tube and cut drive shaft, bell housing spacer, radius arms and other small odds and ends. the trans is about 2" back from normal. |

Re: overdrive
The torque tube is integral part of the suspension, the CV joint (clamshell) is the correct way to allow the rear axle to oscillate. Radius rods with heim joints mounted to cross members limit full suspension travel and transmit load to the frame rail, which wasn't designed to take it.
