I am 6 Ft 3 and am looking at a SW Town Sedan. The amount of leg room in the front seat could be a little more. I have heard about tieing the front seat springs back a little to gain more room. Any ideas or recomendations? Thanks

The front seat should be adjudtable. I am 6' 2" and like my SW. Make sure the seat is all the way back as far as the adjustor will let it go.

I am also 6'3" tall and have a Town Sedan. You can remove the front seat, and modify the seat track assembly to allow the seat to move back further. I did it and it works fine. Much more leg room.

when I got my S/W, the seat was stuck in the position it was set for the previous 75 years. I took the tracks apart and cleaned up the gunk that was preventing it from going back all the way. Now I drive it with one more notch left to go. I'm only 6 ft. but if I set it all the way back its too far. Sounds like, from all the replies, you will be taking it out for a look-see. Good luck. You will find the slants are great cars for anyone taller than Henry was.

I am also 6'3" (in the morning) my S/W seat is all the way back. had no problems at all until I replaced the original seat spring with a new one. Now I can't see the stoplights. the backrest is still the original and I am fine with leg room for the most part. So.. to tie those back on a newer spring could be the answer.

I'm 6'6" and fit my SW pretty well with one modification. There is an "L" shaped bracket for the seat adjuster mounted to the floor with 4 screws. I moved the it back to where the 2 front bolts in the bracket were mounted to the back two holes in the floor. It helped.

My S/W had short rails welded behind the current rails, it sure helped with the leg room, now have as much room as the 2 dr sedan has. whew!! Can drive all day relaxed.

Thanks for all the comments. I forgot about moving the adjuster back. Had to do that on a Victoria that I had and it made the difference. I'm looking forward to a little warmth in the winter and no water coming in during the summer rains. Thanks again.
