For those that has work can not make it to the Early Ford V-8 show. Check this show is Oct. 21 thru 23 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) Moonshine festival in Dawsonville, Ga. There are lot of Early V8 Fords, also live music. The show is fun for whole family. The money raised at the show goes to help out charity for kids.

Don't get me wrong, I have my hotel reservations and hope to go, especially if I get my interior in. But I have planned for almost every year but other work priorities get in the way. Made Saratoga for a day, made my first Hershey for a day last year. will try for 2 at Hershey this year.

Jim, I hope to get to meet you if you come to the Gettysburg Meet I believe you are aIso a member of RG36, or maybe it's the Northern VA RG? I have been wanting to see that '32 of yours for some time now, and it would not matter to me if the interior is done or not . It's just nice to see those '32 survivors any way they happen to come.

42deluxe, in my opinion, if I had only one day that I could attend, it would have to be the day of the concoure judging, Wednesday, August 10th, since all, or most all, of the cars will be lined up in one parking area according to yom. I'm usually like a kid looking in the candy store window .

Hi Everyone, 1942deluxe, I feel you, I'm still a working guy too. The mortgage company doesn't have a sense of humor.

I second what JM said, if you're not registered for the meet, that means you won't be able to go on tours, banquets, etc. (Unless you get on as someone's guest under their registration, hmmm.)

As a person of the public, Wednesday would be a great day. All the cars registered for judging, voting, or display will be out and shined up (as applicable). There will not be a too-early to get there, or a too-late to leave. If you're hanging out (say by the '35-36's) you may even get asked along to supper if you're looking hungry.

Even though it's a two hour trip down and back, any time during the week there will be some kind of activities. I'll be there Sunday before the meet and Friday and maybe Saturday after the meet. If you catch me at the right time I may even let you behind the wheel. You won't be able to miss me, the Blue '36 Phaeton with the smiling fool in it.

As I've said, a good time will be had by all!

My Father In Law has indicated he might like to go. He is 83 and still working! I think it would be a great day for both of us. I've known him since 1970 and we've never had a cross word(been married to his daughter for 35 years). I know the days for us doing things like that are winding down...really going to try and make it. I'll look for that 36 Phaeton if we make it!

I went to the Saratoga meet as just a walk on. Still had a great time and met a lot of people.

John, I support ( means I pay dues) in both clubs (I think). I only make a meeting or two a year. Work hard to pay for the car parts. Also a member of the River Rats Car club...not sure you know those guys. Also belong to the AACA Bethesda group. Haven't had the car running since I bought it back.

Hi 1942deluxe, close... It's Wed the 10th. Official times 9AM to 3PM. Yes at the Wyndham Gettysburg at 95 Presidential Circle.

Remember to look me up, both of y'all can get a ride-n-drive! I might have two cars there so even if the Phaeton is stuck on the show field, we can take a putt with the other.

Thanks, Jeff. That sounds great and I'll p.m. you when we get close. My father in law was down for a visit this past weekend and we went for about a 15 mile ride in the 48 business coupe. He was in his glory and I know he'll love seeing the show. I had the right day at least!

Okay folks, just a little over three weeks untill the Early Ford V-8 Club will begin celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the 1941 Ford at their Eastern National Meet in Gettysburg, PA. If you have not yet made plans to attend, you still have time to sign up and enjoy all the great activities that are planned, and see some of the most beautiful Early Ford's, Mercury's and Lincoln's that you will ever lay your eyes on.

I am really looking forward to attending and meeting up with many of my Early Ford V-8ing friends!! Hoping to C U there!!
