Oil Bath Air filter
Can anyone tell me what was used as the batting inside behind the screen in the oil bath air cleaner, it appears that much of it was removed and am looking to add it back, it appears to be gold in color and long strands matted up.
Does anyone know if it can be gotten, or what can use in it's place, had carb problems and mechanic removed some to try and get to run right, rather than rebuilding carb, which has been done now, just trying to straighten out the mess. |

Don't know if it's true or not but I remember it being referred to as 'horse hair'

Yep think it was rubbercovered horse hair. I read that some where. I've also heard of using the bronze/brass steel wool. You might do a search as somewhere there was a thread on converting to modern type paper element.
