Heater hose connection
Hello, what do you use for the hose connection between exhaust heater and heater door flange on the firewall? I hade used a concertina tube made of aluminum, that was only 500 ml airtight and is now torn through.

Re: Heater hose connection
For years members in our club simply use a cut up pop can. Roll it up, shove it in and let it expand.

Re: Heater hose connection
I'm betting a soda pop (Coca-Cola, etc) with both ends removed and then split lengthwise.

I used one of the small 5.5 oz. juice cans, V8, pineapple grapefruit apple, etc.

Re: Heater hose connection
Roofing flashing, cut to depth, roll up, insert it from the firewall door and let it unwind.
Remove with with needle nose pliers. If you screw it up no problem, make another one. |

Re: Heater hose connection
The suggestion with the lime bottle is theoretically good. But in Germany this does not work, because other plastic is used. When heated, the hose shrinks. I will therefore try the suggestion of Carl.

Re: Heater hose connection
Today I mounted a SCAT-tube from an airplane. I will report how it works over a long time.
Thanks for all informations!

Re: Heater hose connection
Scatt. The amount needed is too small for aircraft use. Check your local aircraft maintenance facility. They usually throw out pieces this short.
