Default progress 68c original calif. car #1

Starting a series of pics of progress ,this is number 1 ..more to follow..March or April 31 car I think from long Beach plant.doing the frame resto with souped up motor all else standard running gear..would like a 3:54 axle maybe later..solid body with original wood.missing door/window garnish.sc

Hard to be 100% cause the pictures are not at the right angles so my following comments could be wrong.

I believe the wood is not right and the top will not look right when done.

The bows are too flat across the top from side to side. The #1 bow strikes me as too square in cross section. I am not sure, but the bottom of the #1 bow cover should be even with the quarter panel.

The belt wood really does not look right. The belt wood must have more of and angle then the back of the top. The back of the top was angled inward as you go up. You need clearance so the wood does not leave a line when the top goes up. As I recall the original wood and the repro wood when finished would look narrower at the top then what I see in your wood.

Again, these comments are based on what I see in the photos and my comments can be completely wrong as the angles of the photos are not right for a proper evaluation.
