33/34 Phaeton Top Boot , anyone have pictures ??

Hello , I recently bought a Top Boot for my 33 Phaeton and it doesn't fit like I think it should . I have nothing to compare it to but common sense tells me it is wrong . Are there any pics out there of what they are supposed to look like and how they fit . Also where the attachment points are ? I know they snap around the back but what holds the front down ?? Any info and pics would be a great help .

I might be able to help you. My top-boot is not much more than a rag, but it is an original 1934 Ford Top-Boot. It has been with my car since new.
1. ... A rear view of the complete boot.
2. ... Detail of how the back end is attached to the body.
3. ... Side view, showing snaps, outside car.
4. ... Side view, showing snaps, inside car.
5. ... Front view, showing location of snaps.
6. ... Front view, showing detail of snaps.

Hi Mike , Thank you very much for the pics .They tell me that I need to return the one I bought . I will have an upholstery shop built me one .
Question , when you drive you car with the top down do you have your boot on ?? I am wanting to drive the 33 with the top down but the top material wants to unfold and it ends up on the spare tire even at low speeds .

Yes, I drive my '34, just like it sits, all the time. When you have the front of the top boot fastened, it can't go anywhere.
