I have the mirror image of that exact item in my 35 [RHD], Now, how rare is that? Actually the panel that fits between the pedals and starter button, and retains the rubber seals, held in place with three 1/4" screws, differs from that used on the more common plywood floorboard. I think this item came into production sometime during the 1936 production year; maybe 35? As with all things early Ford, there is always going to be variations to the theme.

They were used in early '35's here on our LHD. I have two early all original '35's that have those sheet metal toe boards on drivers side only. I see them quite often at swap meets. They are covered in the EFV-8 Clubs 1935 - 36 Book authored by Don Rogers.

My '35 has a wood board on the passenger side and metal on driver's side. Both look to be original and are in the same condition as the rest of the floor ( good ). Metal available for both sides.

I found one of these on a 35 Fordor Sedan many years ago and installed it in my 36 Ford 5W Coupe. I like it much better than the wood floorboard piece used in most 36 fords.
