"What's happening" is when that shovel is inserted in the ground after multiple times, mother nature releases a 1932 Ford.

Nice find! I would go to those lengths for 32 parts. A friend found a 47 Tudor here locally along side a river while boating. It was shot full of holes by passers by, but he managed to get to it by truck and drag it home.It was pretty intact minus the six cyl flathead.
His wife is using it for a yard planter, but he was kind enough to let me pick a few parts off first.

Looks familiar, there are a few places out here where similar vintage cars were used to "shore up" ditches and yes they are still there holding back the dirt. Have fun digging for gold.

I saw the one buried upside down after it was removed it was absolutely amazing for being buried so long. It was built or is in the process of being built! Show pictures of the Pines winter front that was inside the buried car! Have fun on the next 'dig'. Dale

I don't think he is digging them up. I think he is planting rusty ones in hopes that a solid one will grow this spring.

If'n you can't save the body, I'd buy some parts from the driver's side from you.

The soils in the more erid areas do not rust things away as fast as the wet heavy soils you are used to. Rod

Since "nospartsman" has not disclosed his location to us, and by the absence of bullit holes, I'll guess south western Canada.
