I too was one of the lucky ones to get some before the price went up. Thanks for the tip! I'm currently running a set of originals that have been in the truck for a looooong time. Guess it's probably time to freshen it up a bit. I'll be interested to see if it make a noticable difference.

Mitch,
Strange that they are sending your order piecemeal. I only ordered 4 (should have ordered another set). I mailed the form I printed from the online submission along with the receipt I got with the plugs. They say it takes up to 10 weeks to process. With the postage to mail it all in its hardly worth the effort for the rebate on 4 plugs. But, it was a good price for some spare plugs.

Maybe they're being made by the same people who make/sell 9mm bullets?

I just bought the last three offered tonight for $16.39 each and free shipping. The rebate is only $.50 ea. Gotta find a 4th one somewhere, maybe O'Reilly's (which, by the way, will give you a modest "senior" discount if you're over 65).

Geez, I though I was getting a great deal when I bought a set from O'Reillys recently for about $20 each, delivered.

I had been running with the same cheap Autolite plugs that were in the car when I bought it 10 years ago. Lord only knows how long they were in it before me. They were way overdue for replacement. I couldn't believe the difference after putting in the new Champions. WAY more power, and it starts up much faster, usually only a few turns of the starter when cold, and just a tap on the starter button when warmed up. I hope that also translates to better gas mileage.

New quality plugs definitely make a difference.

The only Amazon customer review on the plugs so far is from me back on April 1st. Some of you might chime in with your experiences to help others.

I paid just over $16 each with free shipping. I did report about it here, but the thread didn't get much attention then. They were sold by and shipped from Amazon back then. It appears they have switched vendors on us, and jacked up the price.
