custom exhaust
I have a 29 Model A Speedster with either no hood of half hood. Where can I go to buy custom headers that carry the exhaust straight out past the frame then down to four in one? Several places have a blank that fits on the engine and you can have them made at a muffler shop. Thank you for any ideas; if any have such for sale please contact me.

Re: custom exhaust
Thank you. I am running a set now from Reds that run under the car. No complaint just looking for a change. I run two 81's. Looking at speedster pictures from NWVspeedsters has started this itch.

Re: custom exhaust
Cool, good luck with it. Can't go wrong with a speedster.

Re: custom exhaust
There used to be a fellow who posted here from Torrington, CT "Choppo" I think. He custom made headers and intakes. Try doing a search for headers or intakes. Quality work, reasonable.

Re: custom exhaust
A lot of guys make those headers to fit their application. I considered it myself but I bought a pair of of Charlie Yapps 2 into 1's for my Speedster Build.

I contacted Red's to build me a "standard" header for my coupe. Instead of four into one, I just wanted four individual pipes, extending 18" beyond where the flange would normally be. THEY DIDN'T EVEN WANT TO TALK TO ME ABOUT IT!!! Shucks, that would have been a "GRAVY" job!! I had planned to use 4 stock Harley "take off" mufflers, staggered, for a neat appearance. I believe it would sound "unique"!! Bill W.
