Default What is it supposed to sound like?

I have a running chassis that I need a Model A expert to listen to when running. I do not know whatare normal sounds: at idle-acceleration or high speed. I live in the Minneapolis-St. Paul , Minnesota area. Will some one come ride with me?

I am in CA and not much help, but my new motor at idle sounds nothing like the stock motor I drove as a kid. Modifications definitely make one motor sound different from another. Is yours purely original? ...same components and compression? ...and is the muffler built as original?

My non original car still has the feel of an A but not the distinctive idle sound. ...but it still makes me happy when driving it.

On the first video near the end, did you notice how labored the acceleration sounded?

That's due to late timing. He had the timing retarded to show the low RPM sound, but he didn't advance it for the normal running and acceleration.
