Default How much better than this..EDSEL FORD II

I did an event the other night for the exclusive Casino Club in Chicago Il, the guest speaker was none other than Mr. Edsel Ford II, great grandson of Henry, here I am with him and my car after a long discussion about it.. A wonderful man and wanted to know everything about the 160c..what a night to remember!!

Now that you run with the big shots, I'd better be wearing a tux the next time I stop at your house.

Marc are you sure that is a real you? You look suspiciously like a guy out in Vegas who runs a nationally syndicated pawn shop.

Mike that was CLASSIC..he was incredibly nice, wanted to know everything about the car, model, engine, interior, how and where I drive, show or daily.. He kept the conversation going and initiating all of it and then asked to take some pictures.. Was a great experience...thanks everyone!

Interesting story, when I drive my Model A , I get the sense that the car was made by the Ford's, their family company... My other Ford cars never gave me that feeling. How proud Mr. Ford must have felt standing next to the car his namesake so long ago help shape.

Great story.

do not wash the fender!
Heard a similiar reaction several years ago from a lady club member, now deceased, who introduced herself to him at a dinner, and was impressed by him.
Sounds like he took after his name sake. Few of us will ever have the opportunity you had. He obviously loves the car.
That is providence.

Thanks everyone, and yes he really did take an interest in the car, had me open the hood, look very carefully at the interior and asked questions....Great memories for me on this.

Edsel has impressed me as being a very down to earth person, much like his grandfather, Edsel. Definately not like his great grandfather.

What a great opportunity. Mr. Ford always seems very interested in the great legacy of his great grandfathers legacy. I am so proud of the fact that in this era if constant change Ford Motor Company is still in control of the Ford Family. Congratulations

Thanks for sharing this great experience...I am proud to drive my Ford because of Ford' survival and strength without any tax breaks...and am pleased you described Mr. Ford as "down to earth." ...and I suspect he thought the same of you.

Great story Mark! Good to know that Ford Motor Company still has the personal touch. Yes, and Never wash that fender.

It is great that he showed so much interest, but we are all his current and future customers. Every Ford licensed part we buy provides some income to the company. Plus, what is a better advertisement for his company's products than our cars? Not everyone is this way, but I am happy that he is.

FWIW, one of Walter Chrysler's grandsons lived in the same town as I did. He had a different last name, as his mother was one of WPC's daughters. You would have never known it from meeting him.
