Default Brought the A home yesterday

I've been waiting some time to pick up the A that I bought from my grandpa's estate. I only planned on rolling it out of my uncles shed where it's been since October. I wanted to check it out to see if it could make the maiden voyage 50 miles home or would I need a trailer. My uncle and I put a few gallons of fuel in it and it fired right up. Well since it was running and everything else looked good I figured I'd give the trip a shot. I was able to find a few passengers that were willing to watch me practice double-clutching.
After an hour and a half (potty breaks included) we arrived home safe and sound. I did have one issue with the GAV though, it seemed to stick after taking off from our second stop and sputtered a bit before settling down a few miles down the road. I'll have to check it out after a trip to school this morning!

Passengers seem mighty pleased with their conveyance.

Careful - you're infecting the next generation.

And a car that's paid for is going against the grain in America.

Drive carefully - and often.

Nice car and you're lucky to live in a state with a lot of good Model A driving roads. In fact I crossed the border to Wisconsin last week and found a good road for our club trip. I'll bet the kids won't forget that trip

Nice looking car you have.

The kids will remember that trip longer than you will. It is great to take them along.

Get it out and drive those kids to the ice cream stand, often. The more our young ones are exposed to these pieces of history, the more hope for the future of the hobby.

After I was born my dad brought mom and I home in his Model A. It was the start of my love affair with with the A and it's still going strong after 72 years. I only wish I had been old enough to remember the ride. Those kids are very lucky to start a lifetime of memories in the best car Ford ever made. Maybe they will take their drivers test in the A when they get old enough to drive. Teach them now how to double clutch...........

Great looking car. I learned to drive in a Model A, That my Dad bought when I was 10. That started my love affair with the Model A. I hope yours is the start of your Kid's.
