Default Columbia 46 ford

Should the inside of vacuum cannister for the columbia rear end have a lubricant on the walls or just apply a light grease or lubricant to the rubber/leather plunger. Thought this may be good idea for sealing and easier movement for the plunger.
Thanks!

I was told to use Marvel Mystery Oil. It has worked well for me.
