Smile Old fogeys forum

is there any interest in starting an old fogeys room where the older members from the old fordbarn can go and chat? it would be mostly for the older guys but any one could join, it would be one way for the original members to really keep in touch

You can start a group by going to "User CP" and then "Social Groups"
etc etc.

IMO, it makes no sense to go off and huddle in the corner some where. Like Brendan said, stay here and teach the new guys what you know. Ease up on the ones who haven't had the experiences you've had and answer their questions.

Thumbs up Re: Old fogeys forum

I would enjoy that; I'll let you guess my age. Henry Ford Trade School graduate 1952 (T-Section) Dearborn, MI. Talk about being a died-in-wool Ford Fan! Mark

I'm a new guy too but have no problem if the old-timers want a group for themselves. I only ask that they stay on the main Ford Barn board too and help others who have questions.

Red face Re: Old fogeys forum

Sounds something like the Lounge to me, that was once on the old 'Barn and turned into a political posting and bashing arena for some. It got so out of control that Shelly finally had to turn out the lights and lock the door, but then maybe those offenders have matured a little more by now and would act more civil towards each other . JMO, JM

I think the "Lounge" was a good deal.
It was a place where you could post a joke that tickled your funny bone or bash a guy you didn't like or he could bash you.
It kept the crap off the forums..If you didn't care for that type of stuff you didn't have to click on it. Just like the TV or radio, no like no turn it on.
