Need help guys
Just realized these nail holes shouldnt be here. I would have filled these prior to priming but didnt realize it was wrong. Any suggestions on filling? I can remove the top bow but dont want to throw any heat on now.

Re: Need help guys
Piece of copper flashing between the metal and wood for protection, and weld them. TIG is best. Bob

Re: Need help guys
I'm not positive which part is shown, but I think it's the visor and those holes are exposed,.........right?
If so, I'd weld them shut and grind them smooth. After all, you only have primer on it now, right? |

Re: Need help guys
I once filled some holes in a customer's car by denting them slightly, threading them and filling them with allen screws and locktight. I then ground the allen screws down and filled the small dents with JB Weld. Worked great.

Re: Need help guys
A very easy permanent cover would be to cut some small patches. Use some thin copper about .010" to .020" thick and solder a "cover over each hole using a 150 to 300 watt soldering iron.

Re: Need help guys
What holes ? Photo is unclear as to showing any holes. Holes in the metal ? Holes in the wood? Some answers suggest epoxy, solder, copper patches, screws, rivets,JB weld, Locktight ???? A very confusing question, unclear photo and multiple confusing answers.

Re: Need help guys
Mikeinnj is right about this post being confusing. Better pics and description would eliminate that. I agree with Bob C that it looks like the back of the cab. Also it's not a bow under that sheet metal but the rear header. The holes that metalho is probably talking about are on the outside of the vinyl top material and would show.

Re: Need help guys
For filling small holes like that i would use a mig welder just a quick zap will fill ea hole, i usualy back it up using a piece of copper, a scrap piece of 3/4" copper tubing flatened out on one end will work nicely, just make it about a foot long as the heat will chase up it pretty quickly. by backing it up like that ea weld will be done so quickly that you wont have a problem with heat warpage.
