K.R.Wilson Engine puller ,plate
Looking for the engine fixture / plate that attaches to the 4 cylinder engine spark plug holes so the engine may be lifted. This is a K.R. Wilson unit I do not have a picture of it . I am interested in buying one. steve

There’s a modern style one I bought works well. I think I got from either Brat ton’s or Early Ford Store

Re: K.R.Wilson Engine puller ,plate
I bought (2) 17022 spark plug hole lift adapters from Snyders and connected a short piece of chain between them. Using your lift and positioning a single lift hook to the chain allows for adjusting the attitude or lift angle of engine. If you can weld you can make a pair from old spark plugs and weld on a pair of eyes.

Re: K.R.Wilson Engine puller ,plate
If I pull my engine again I will buy a load leveler, see photo. This tool allows one to adjust the angle of the engine while you are pulling it or putting it back in.

Re: K.R.Wilson Engine puller ,plate
I bought a Load Leveler on Amazon. Used it two months ago with great success! I also use TWO EYE bolts in number 1 & 4. My 1 1/2 cents worth! Sure not worth much more than that!

Re: K.R.Wilson Engine puller ,plate
I’ve seen concerns voiced that the leveler will dent the firewall. That is certainly a possibility but if you are careful it’s not difficult to avoid damage. I found a leveler to be very helpful in positioning the load, especially for a novice working alone.
