off topic - St Patrick's day
So, Paddy's walking down the street and spies his mate Shaun..."What's that ye got there Shaun?" asks Paddy.
"It's the most wonderful thing it is Paddy" replies Shaun, "it's a thermos flask".. "So, what does it do?" asks Paddy. "Well", replies Shaun, "if ye put hot stuff init, it keeps it hot, an ifye put cold stuff init, it keeps it cold". "So, what ye got init Shaun?" asks Paddy. Paddy replies "Two ice creams and a cup o tea".

Breaking news just in from Ireland.
A 2 seater Cessna plane has crashed into a cemetery near Belfast. Rescue workers have recovered more than 300 bodies so far. Police chief Seamus O'Toole says the final toll could be much higher. |

Re: off topic - St Patrick's day
I want to see a GREEN Ford Flathead; like a green 1950 Ford 2 door, or a 53 Ford truck. Hopefully in my garage ........

Could be wrong but I believe the true military jeeps had the full floating rear axles as opposed to post war civilian models.

Re: off topic - St Patrick's day
I'm no jeep expert either, but it sure is a better design for 'extreme conditions'.

Re: off topic - St Patrick's day
Thanks Gary. Its a perfect parade truck! Put it in low gear, take your foot off the accelerator pedal and let it roll along about 2 -3 mph.
Brakes, we dont need no stinking brakes.. just kidding. the brakes work fair. Do have a couple leaky wheel cylinders that i still need to rebuild. Muffler was missing when i got it so i just extended the pipe a little towards the passenger rear tires. The flathead likes to breath, the kids love it! Who am i kidding the Adults do too! The Jeep is a early 45 gpw so still military.
