Default 51 Custom brake / turn signal wiring Need help!!

I have a 51 ford custom that I’ve converted to 12v and rewired using the E-Z wiring kit and I need help wiring the brake lights, I have all the turn signals working but I don’t know how to wire the stop lights into the turn signal switch. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

It depends on how you have it wired up, but the common setup is to use the brake filament in the tail light bulb for both the brake light and the turn signal. The brake wire is connected to the turn signal. Are you using an aftermarket turn signal control? The third diagram is one I drew up a while back for someone else using an EZ wiring harness.

Thank you for your response, yes I am using the same filament and the stock switch, but I figured it out! I had the front and rear turn signal wires backwards, so when I applied the brakes it was going to the front turn signal wires/lights while I was looking at the rear lights, also I found bad/loose connections on the brake switch which would explain why I had power intermediatly from the brake switch I was worried I had a bad turn signal switch and/or brake switch!

Good for you on solving your problem.... I’ll never forget when my son was 5-6 yrs old he was “helping” me wire a trailer. I told him to watch the back and we would check the lights. I asked if the blinker was working and he said...yup....nope.....yup.....nope......yup.....M ark
