Default 1940. Beauty rings

Hi gents

Any tricks for removing beauty rings from wheel, without dinging up with screwdriver. My attempt is not working well.

I have had good results prying them off with plastic/nylon automotive trim removal tools . Harbor Freight sells 2 different sets . One set is blue , the other is yellow .
Works good w/hubcaps & wheel covers , too !

Just ease them off gently a little bit all around until they pop off. MYO

Use a cut down Bondo spreader. Tap it gently under the trim ring at several places little by little.
