Default Oil retainer tube

Installed an oil retainer tube on my 2 sector steering box and when I reinstalled the light switch connector block the light switch was very touchy as well as the horn. Does this mean that it may be shorting out or not making a good connection? There is only one way that it can fit into the light connector metal housing isn't there? I had a hard time getting the bail wire back over the metal housing?

Have to orient the plate properly in the housing.

The small "U" shaped spider has to fit into the the two slots in the upper part of the bail. The spider can be 90° off. and movable contacts can be 180#&176 off.
