Not sure of size but Roy Nacewicz sells them in a kit. He sells all the nuts and bolts you need, correct style, size and finish. He also has many of the wooden pieces for these old fords we love. 734-654-9450. Great fellow to deal with.

34128-s7 nut...12-24 (3/16 x 1/2) square nut
34804-s2 lockwasher, details not in the catalog I have at hand.
Screw not listed because I am using a late catalog with lots of gaps...
anyway, get a 1934 catalog AND a '28-48, as they will list out most of the hardware and hand you the sizes right after the parts the fasteners fit. The right year one will usually have all the detail parts that dropped out of the book by '48.
The parts catalogs are just too useful not to have.

I don't think an oval head would be used at this location. Pan head most likely.

You need an original Ford type catalog...most are reproduced, and available from the usual Ford parts places like C&G Ford.
I would want a 1934 catalog (the most detail, and all proper parts) and a '28-48 which will show range of interchange and later substitute parts. Most but not all parts have the hardware called out below the part and a "standard" parts list in the back so you can decode what length and head type and so on. There is so much info buried in the catalogs I can't imagine working without them, they are as vital as the service bulletins.
