No. It is not from a '37 Ford.

Double no. The only heater offered by Ford for its '37 vehicles sold in the U.S. was a hot air (manifold) heater. No hot water heater was offered.

Thanks for looking and the feedback. I appreciate it. It was on a shelf with one with a Sears Roebuck tag so it probably is a universal unit.

I think that covers his unknown car parts. Sucks to see his cars and stuff go but, really it was only important to him. I'm sure he would be happy to see it go to others that appreciate it rather than the landfill.

Is that tag, just above the heater door knob, at all legible? Maybe use a little lacquer thinner on a rag to remove some red paint.

You could try to sell it on the swap meet page or on Marketplace. Although, I've tried to sell nice aftermarket hot water heaters before with no luck.

Thanks for suggesting to check to see if there is a tag under that paint. I'll see what I can find out.

The black one off to the side in the pic is the Sears unit. I googled the number and just one thing popped up. It was a 2010 post in a Landcruiser forum I happen to be a member of. I contacted the guy and he wants the Sears unit because his 65 Landcruiser has one and it needed some missing pieces. So that worked out at least.

If the red one was a Ford part I would have posted it in the parts for sale section. I'm happy that you guys at least confirmed that it wasn't a Ford heater. I can take it from here so thank you all again.
