Transmission front bearing retainer
Are all front brearing retainers the same? I was finishing assebly of a transmission last night when I noticed I had two front bearing retainers and they were not the same. I was mixing and matching parts from a couple transmissions to make one good one. I was currious enough that I dug out another trans for comparison as well. They all look virtually the same except for the length of the tube that the throwout bearing slides on. Two measured 4" and the other was 3.5". Hard to say for sure, but it looks like maybe the shorter of the three has been cut down? Chris

Re: Transmission front bearing retainer
The short one is for an AA 4 speed transmission.
