steering arm
Does anyone have an exploded view of the springs and cups on the steering arm of a 55? This is the part where the pitman arm ball stud goes in. Thanks, Ben

Re: steering arm
This drawing is for a '50 F1 but the ball stud arrangement is the same.

Re: steering arm
Dobie-the 55 car has somewhat the same but it has two springs, one on each side of the ball cups with the nail head looking pins (3326) in the springs. Don't know which way the nail head pins should be in the springs. That picture helps that. Thanks.
KULTULZ- I have that picture in my service manual but it doesn't show the internal springs and cups on the idler arm to pitman bar. With all the stuff you come up with, I felt sure you would have a view of it. From your nickname, did you use to be in Tulsa? Thanks to both, Ben |

!!! EDIT !!!- HOLD ON. Came across something. Will be back. What you are looking for is B2AZ 3A533-A. GOOGLE the PN and you will come across suppliers. The ball stud (AB 3311-C) also comes in this kit. The PN for the drag link itself is AD 3305-B if ever needed.

Re: steering arm
Order of assembly was what I wanted to clarify. Thanks to all. Got it back in place. When you get old, you don't finish some of these jobs in one sitting and it sometimes gets a little fuzzy. Now if I can just remember if the clutch is the left one or the middle one I should be good to go.

Re: steering arm
Where did you come across that ILL if I might ask?
And this info and assembly detail was not in the shop manual? Interesting. I need to read a little more concisely...
