29 Coupe Rumble Area Interior Panels
I recall seeing some pictures (maybe Marco?) showing sound deadening panels that were installed in the trunk area of coupes/roadsters. I assume these were used on rumble seat cars also, correct?
Does anyone sell these or have dimensions so that I can fabricate? I also remember seeing a support piece that was used to attach the interior panel (the finished one that you see) to the car. Does anyone have a picture and/or dimensions of what this support piece looked like? Thanks - Hunter |

Look on page 396 and 402 of the Ford Service Bulletins for the " wooden slat" for which I think you are refering to. Pluck |

Re: 29 Coupe Rumble Area Interior Panels
Thanks guys. Having the pattern is great.
I looked at the Ford Service Bulletins as Steve suggested, but it is very hard to determine size and mounting points of the wooden slat. Does anyone have a picture they could share.? Thanks - Hunter |

I thought it was in the " trunk/rumble " search and couldn't find it, and it was my question. So, as I remember it, here we go. 1 1/4- 1 1/2 X 1/4- 5/16, made from very nice hard wood. Runs the length from the rumble pivot hole (there is a hole for it to bolt to, maybe a #10 screw ) to the brace( going forward ) with another hole, then to the seat. OK? Dudley |

I also need to add the wood strips that the panels attach to. I have these photos saved from a previous thread but I can't seem to find the measurment right now.

Greg,
I know it was talked about it on the Barn, maybe the old FB. The figures I post are VERY close. |
