Default 48 Convertible Trunk Lid Seal Too Fat?

A predecessor installed a new trunk lid seal which doesn't allow the lid to close and latch. It has the corners molded in a single piece unit. The lid will close completely without the seal installed.
Is there a seal known to fit?
Thanks,
Dan

The trunk seal in our '47 Convertible fits fine, it's been on the car for 19 years so far... I think (CRS ) I got it from Denis Carpenter.

You may have the old style that are solid foam right through (you can feel by squeezing it) and they will hold the lid up a bit.
The newer ones are a moulded hollow section (Drake I think) and they collapse easier allowing the lid to close. Both have moulded corners.

we run in to this problem quit a bit on our new restorations. The new rubbers are thick and stiff. we often have to re adjust the trunk latch to a looser setting and over a period of a few days adjust it back once the new rubber compresses and starts to form fit. This usually works for us and generally provides for a nice watertight seal.
