1950 Shoebox Trunk Latch Strike

Does anyone have a line on a trunk strike for a 1950 shoebox? I have searched high and low to even find a picture of one and I can't. When I purchased the car, it didn't come with the trunk key and it looks like they must have removed the bottom strike in an effort to gain access. This is the style latch I have in the trunk lid:



For the life of me I cannot seem to find the bottom trunk mounted strike part, or even a picture of one. At least that would give me an idea of how to fab a new one from scratch. I have to be missing something. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Does anyone have a '50 that they can take a picture of their trunk strike please?

You set on using the factory latch? I have a '49 so my latch is a bit different but I connected a bear claw latch to the original release handle. It was pretty easy to do
