E-brake clevis ID?
I managed to get some parts mixed up and was wondering if someone could ID these two E-brake cable clevises? One is '40 Ford and the other is off a 42,or '46-'48 Merc. I feel the '40 is the shorter one; but would like confirmation of this; before I put something together wrong.

Re: E-brake clevis ID?
The long one is the clevis to the emergency cable at the handle while the other goes to the end of the emergency cable connecting to the equalizer.

The long one looks like my 39 emergency handle end.

Re: E-brake clevis ID?
I just measured the length of the clevis on my 40 E-brake.
It's 5 or 5 1/8 in. long. Couldn't get it exact. Your longer clevis is the correct piece. |
