Default gear ratio of rear differential

I have a two rear differentials with the numbers 9 34 G2 on one and the second one has 940 stamped in the housing.

Is the one with the 934 stamp a 3.78 gear ratio
What does the G2 mean on the first rear mean?

Is the one with the 940 a 4.45 gear ratio?

If I am totally wrong on this what tis the correct gear ratios?

Thanks

Ratios are correct, unless the R & P have been changed out. No clue on the G2

3.78 takes a 19 tooth speedo gear when used with 6.00 16 tires. It's the universal ratio, good for mountains, flat, city, and highway.

4.44 takes a 23 tooth speedo gear when used with 6.00 16 tires, and is only good for 60 hp engines and parade speeds.
