The images are too small to see the details but it does resemble a 40 deluxe grille.

Looks like an Argentina sheet metal 1940 reproduction.

I agree that it looks like an old Argentine stamped steel '40 grille. Probably sold by J.C. Whitney. They got rusty after the first winter storm exposure.

As stated, steel fabricated replacement 40 deluxe grille halves. Probably made in Argentina.

Ok if you had a 40 with a hole to fill, but much better repro parts are available now.

Mart.

Thanks, and thanks to everyone who helped out ! I had an Argentinian 34 grille along time ago and wondered if this might be something like that as the build quality of this grille kinda made me wonder if it was homemade ! Lol , that and I wasn’t 100% sure it was even for a 40 ford , I appreciate y’all taking the time to help out
Btw, when was Argentina making all these various grilles? Was this something done in the 60’s or 70’s ?

I remember when in the mid 1970's Ford Obsolete in Long Beach,CA was one outfit directly importing repo Industria Argentina Ford Parts.

Yep That was the place for old Ford parts. They did have a lot of NOS parts along with the Argentine repos. FPO owned by Joe Mclellan and Charlie Bennet was the counterman. Bought a lot of parts there for my '29 roadster pickup.

Good ole' Ford Obsolete and "Joe Mac" . . . spent a lot of time there in the mid 70's when working on my 34 Ford four door sedan. Joe was a decent guy and he helped me source some parts I needed to find. Some of his repop parts were pretty crappy (were not a lot of sources back in those days - you were stuck with what you could get or find original).

I started going there before I could drive - Mom and I would get in the old 68' Ford 'Country Squire' station wagon and off we'd go from Torrance to Long Beach (after I got home from school) - during the busy rush-hour on the 405!

Needless to say, some of those trips down the 405 were a bit memorable. LOL

Wasn't it originally called/named "Ford Parts Obsolete"?

Pete you are correct, Ford Parts Obsolete. I still have the original T shirt with the logo they gave me when I bought all the parts. In the logo is the back end of a little track roadster with rollbar being driven by a helmeted driver.

Yes, I bought many parts from them for my '34 3-Window back in the mid sixties...
